Mark's Tonight, Art Walk Tomorrow, Smile Rays New Album Thursday

What hasn't been said about Mark's on a Tuesday this year? Besides Obama wins it all? Come on already. Come on and watch the results that is. I think its $1 pbr and $3 jager and $2 pints domestica and what have you. At least one flat screen on election coverage.
Or you can sit on the comfy sofas and watch tourists (yes we have them, conventioneers really) request Flo-Rida. Thankfully I only spin records. I usually toss on some Frank Black and the Catholics, loud, and thats that.
Then the real talent takes over, Brian V and Cathartic. Except tonight its just Cathartic. I think he may have a guest or two tonight. I am out next week so its your last gritty analog maestro for a while.
So even better is Wednesday. Its the Players Ball Art Walk at the Landing (everyones 19th hole) during Art Walk. There is also a great car show at Hemming Plaza. These will be must sees along with the rest of The Art Walk.

Highlights
The Jacksonville Landing - Kick off THE PLAYERS Downtown Experience as we celebrate THE PLAYERS Championship and honor local PGA TOUR Player Mark McCumber and the 20th anniversary of his triumph at the 1988 PLAYERS. The program includes Mayor John Peyton giving a Proclamation of THE PLAYERS Championship Week to honor the 20th anniversary of Mark McCumber's win and highlight videos of past PLAYERS. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. at The Jacksonville Landing Courtyard with live music provided by Kort McCumber & McCumberland Gap at 6 p.m.
Lucky's Classic Cuts and Café 331 team up to rock Art Walk 50s style with hot rods, motorcycles and rockabilly music in Hemming Plaza. Meet Lucky's Ladies, Mike the Barber and the Roller Derby Girls. Swing by Café 331 and view models dressed in 50s attire, check out vintage 50s records from Royal Treatment Records and view artwork from local artists.
The Museum of Science & History - Southbank - Featuring "The MOSH Juke Joint Jam, Where Music & History Meet." Calling all blues musicians to bring their electric or acoustic instrument to jam. MOSH will provide the back line.
AT&T Tower - Featuring the watercolor and oil paintings of award-winning realism artist Ted Head. Register to win one of his watercolors at the 2nd floor refreshment table. View jewelry inspired by the natural magnificence of semi-precious stones and gems designed by Holly and Katrina Middleton. Stop by and sample the delicious fruit of Edible Arrangements. Music by Melody Jackson. Refreshments served.
The Official Art Walk After Party at The Twisted Martini. Turn in your flyer at the door for a complimentary premium cocktail, bottled or draft beer, glass of house wine, or the featured martini of the day. Must be 21 or older with proper ID and attire.
I can see the Mayor's office, Ted Head, jammers, gearheads, and roller derby girls all at an afterparty. But I think it would be this one.
