Pensacola Peoples - Check out Chicken & Whiskey Tonight
My buddies from Keyboard Punk Mainstay Chicken and Whiskey will be in Pcola tonight at 309 north 6th avenue. Where ever that is. Give them a big breezer hug for me. I'm not sure if there is a cover or donations or what, but they scream it like they mean it. I'm happy the van made it that far.

Settle on the FRINGE
Wild outsider art, antiques and ideas now being accepted into RAM? Oh, yes!
All Songs Considered
Do you ever wish you could do more? That you could help the little guy by just doing something you find enjoyable? Tonight there is an excellent opportunity for this. GO SEE THE MIKE BERNOS BAND! The music will be well worth the $10 but that all goes to the Harvest of Hope Foundation which helps migrant farmworkers.

Zines Rule Everything Around Me
H
The Jacksonville Public Library’s “Much Ado About Books” is coming up and I’m hoping you all could mention some of the Zine Collection events we’ve set up.
On Saturday, February, 27th, the Zine Collection will be hosting two events at the Main Library downtown. There will be a panel discussion about zines and independently published media and afterwards we will host a reading. Both events are free and open to the public.
10:45 – 11:30
Ian Koss (Ink 19), Joe LaChut (Seven Inches to Freedom), Tom Pennington (The Hum, Reax) and Max Michaels (Movement Magazine) will be discussing their history with zines, the importance of independent publishing, and the role of the Internet in publishing.
12:00 – 12:45
Authors Duncan B. Barlow (Super Cell Anemia), Patrick Hughes (Diaries of Indignities), Shelton Hull (Folio Weekly, Section 8) and poet Alan Justiss (too many to list) will read from their own original work.

We have high hopes for this event, as our last few programs with bands/speakers have been well-attended. Any write-up you can do on this, we’d very much appreciate it. Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks for your support!
