LIBRARY e-BOOKS FOR KINDLE NOW AVAILABLE AT
JACKSONVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 26, 2011 – The Jacksonville Public Library is excited to announce that its e-book collection is now compatible with the Amazon® Kindle. Customers can download popular and classic e-books at no cost to a Kindle device or any mobile device running the free Kindle app such as iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ and more.
To get started, visit www.jaxpubliclibrary.org and click on the rotating image of the Kindle, or click on e-books and More at the bottom of the home page. Downloads are free with a valid library card. Users must have an Amazon account to use the service but do not need to have a checking account or credit card on file to use the account.
Kindle users can browse the library's collection of bestselling and classic e-books from a PC or Mac computer, check out titles using a library card and select "Get for Kindle" to deliver e-books to their Kindle device or any device running the free Kindle app.
There are currently more than 3,000 Kindle titles available through the library's website. The library will continue to build its e-book collection, so keep checking back for more titles. The library also offers more than 30,000 e-books and audiobooks for use on a PC or Mac computer and popular mobile devices such as a Smartphone, MP3 player and e-book reader like the Barnes & Noble® Nook™ and Sony® Reader.
