5 Points Theatre Media Update 10/7/11


We have a lot of special events coming up in October!

1.  We're hosting a special showing of the local agriculture doc Farmageddon on Saturday, October 15th at 5, 7 & 9 pm!

2.  Our 3rd annual Horror Fest will be Friday, October 21st through Sunday, October 23rd.  http://www.5pointstheatre.com/movie/Horror_Fest/

Here's the lineup:

10/21 at 7 pm - the original vampire film Nosferatu, with a new live score by Tony Steve and Bob Moore (our resident silent film guys)
10/21 at 9:30 pm - Norwegian mockumentary Trollhunter
10/21 at 11:30 - a newly restored version of the classic 1979 Italian classic Zombie
10/22 at 5 pm - locally made horror short films
10/23 at 7 pm - low-budget semi-classic Special Dead with director Tom Phillips
10/23 at 9 pm - new release Hobo with a Shotgun
10/24 at 7 pm - a newly restored version of Zaat with producer Don Barton and surviving cast

3.  Surviving Mommie Dearrest, a one woman show from Christina Crawford, plays October 24th and 25th.  http://www.5pointstheatre.com/movie/surviving-mommie-dearest/

4.  A short film festival organized by Cinemania founder Sharon Cobb plays Wednesday, October 26th.  http://www.5pointstheatre.com/movie/short-film-fest/

5.  Live sensation Balthrop, Alabama returns to the theatre.  They combine an Americana sound with a live drawing project on the big screen.  It really has to be seen to be believed.  http://www.5pointstheatre.com/movie/Balthrop-ALA/
